A direct quote taken from the judge that sentenced infamous serial killer Ted Bundy is now the title of the new film starring Zac Efron. The film documents Ted Bundy’s life and paints him as a lovable, doting boyfriend and son who no one would suspect as being one of the most prolific and calculating serial killers of his time. Albert Finney Dead at 82
He first took the stage as just a young boy in London. He stared in “Saturday Night and Sunday Morning” that propelled him to stardom in the 1960’s. I always knew him for his very deep voice. Most of the movies I saw him in, he did a very good American accent but according to the New York Times, he had a very thick northern England accent. He is still considered by some to be the leading actor in his generation, and yet to others he failed to live up to his expectations at the time. When it came to his natural appearance, one woman actually commented, “His morose, craggy face looks as though it has been pummeled by experience.” Nevertheless, he went on to play a wide array of roles in movies. From detective roles to lawyers, CIA recruiter and then in-keeper in one of the latest installments to the James Bond legacy.

The newest installment of the series, Hobbs & Shaw, is set to be released in August of 2019, but when will this series end?
Think about how far we have come in this series. This being the ninth movie, I have thoroughly had enough. What started out as street racers trying to avoid the local police in California, has turned into a nation wide rampage with the highest tech, biggest weapons (and people), the most expensive and progressive vehicles and some of the craziest most thought out action sequences on the screen today. We have gone from Mitsubishi Eclipse’s and Mazda RX-7’s to tanks, subterranean vehicles with tracks and submarines. When I first saw the bank vault being thrown through buildings in Rio, that was a clear indicator for me that this series was heading in a wild direction. After every movie from that point on, I found myself asking, “where could they possibly go from here?”
While the series started out modestly, there was plenty of room for this series to become the biggest and greatest action series in movie history. “Hobbs & Shaw” is considered a spinoff of the original series and this is opening the flood gates for potential to once again have an overwhelming opportunity. Since overwhelming seems to be the main theme for the last few movies, it seems that as long as the movies are making money, they are going to keep blowing up the screen. Perhaps it’s that so many other people are wondering where the series can go next that the writers feel a need to satisfy the audience with the next big action movie. Nevertheless, Hobbs & Shaw are probably going to be around for a while.
